2021/05/13: Our Master student, Jing Chen (G2), received the Best Student Paper Award and the Best Three-Minute Talk Award in the 2021 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems (Victoria, Canada), for the paper titled "IoT-enabled Intelligent Dynamic Risk Assessment of Acute Mountain Sickness based on Data from Wearable Devices". 个人简介 Biography in Chinese
史大威,2008年本科毕业于北京理工大学,2014年博士毕业于加拿大阿尔伯塔大学(导师:Tongwen Chen 教授),2017-2018年在美国哈佛大学开展博士后研究工作(导师:Francis J. Doyle III 教授)。现任北京理工大学自动化学院教授、博士生导师;医工融合研究院“精准医学系统智能决策与控制”PI合作研究团队负责人。主要从事采样控制系统分析与设计及在生物医学、机器人和运动系统中的应用研究。研究工作已在Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering等国际期刊上发表论文100余篇,授权中国、美国发明专利40余项,以第一作者在Springer出版英文专著2部。担任IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Control Systems Letters,Control Engineering Practice等国际期刊Associate Editor/Technical Editor,IEEE Control Systems Society Conference Editorial Board成员,美国Mathematical Reviews评论员。
Brief Biography
Dawei Shi is presently a Full Professor with the School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology. He received the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from the Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in Control Systems from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, in 2014. From 2017 to 2018, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Bioengineering at the Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, USA.
Dr. Shi's research interests include the analysis and design of advanced sampled-data control systems, with applications to biomedical engineering, robotics, and motion systems. He has served as an Associate Editor/Technical Editor for several international journals, including Control Engineering Practice, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and IEEE Control Systems Letters. He served as the General Chair of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Annual Online Conference in 2024 and 2025. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Fellow of the IET.

Our research generally focuses on Analysis & Synthesis of Advanced Sampled-data Control Systems, with applications to Biomedical Engineering, Robotics and motion systems. Specifically, our research interests include
